Come Along to our Friendly social Badminton Club in the Marwood Village hall. Don’t worry about what standard you are, our regular members will look after you and encourage you throughout and we will ensure that you get a good game at what- ever level you are.
We all had to start somewhere!
All Equipment can be provided; you just need a pair of Trainers.
Cost just £3 a week including shuttles.

This is a mindful yoga class. A space to allow ourselves to reconnect with our mind, body and spirit. Working with stillness, movement and the breath. To reduce stress, gain energy and find balance in life. Meeting every Wednesday from 7 pm to 8.30 pm we have limited spaces so please let me know if you want to come along.
About: My approach to yoga is from a traditional & authentic school of thought. I have studied both in India & the UK and have completed the DSY 500 hour IYN Certified teacher training course with The Devon School of Yoga.
I have practised yoga for over 15 years and I believe that yoga, which ultimately conditions & heals the physical body, is much more than a physical workout, and is ultimately a spiritual practice in which we really discover our true and authentic self. Mental clarity and freedom emerge through practice and self inquiry. Through yoga we begin to wake up to our own true nature, which is essentially joyful & peaceful x"
Thursday: 1st Marwood Scouts
- Beavers meet from 5 pm to 6 pm
- Cubs meet from 6.15 pm to 7.30 pm
- Scouts meet from 7.45 pm to 9 pm every Thursday plus a range of bi-monthly activities for extended Scouting activities.
- All sections have space at the moment. Beavers 6-8 yr old's, Cubs 8-10 1/2 & Scouts 10 1/2 to 14 yr old's
- We are also seeking a new Assistant Beaver Scout Leader; Assistant Cub Scout Leader and Assistant Scout Leader at the moment, so if your looking to get back into Scouting after parenting, college or uni call "Bugsy" on 01271 850592 or email; acruden7@gmail.com

Meeting every 2 weeks from 7 pm to 10 pm starting very soon.

Mandy Perrin & Sam Wallis have a team taking part in The Goppin Challenge on 1st May, an 11k Royal Marines designed obstacle course to raise money for The Royal Marine Association.
This is a FREE Concert showcasing all that is best about local music.
Barnstaple Community Orchestra is a fairly new, but very enthusiastic and talented. The orchestra is conducted by Simon Gilby.
Marwood School musicians sound great and are ably coached and play under the direction of local parents, Tom & Richard.
Marwood Community Hall is running a BIG BREAKFAST on Saturday 6th February starting a 9.30 am to 12 noon.

What a fantastic afternoon, we must have had a 100 or more people come to the hall engage with the exhibitors and enjoy a fabulous Cream Tea, courtesy of Dipsy & Crackers.

Please come and have a look around our beautiful new hall, this being the day after we get the keys. Unfortunately the school site and playing field will continue to look like a building site until the end of May as a new school sewerage system is being installed by Devon County Council.
